A transplant in the DFW area from The Bay Area, Melvina Mpowers has been consulted often, including as the
Chief Editor for the Dallas Black Professional Social Network, to edit "The Abuser" for Omniversal Publishing (www.omnipubhouse.com), and most notably was hired as the journalist for the Krewe of Orleans 2018 Mardi Gras Ball (www.kreweoforleans.com).

As an on-screen personality, Melvina has hosted events for Anutha Media, namely the red carpet and exhibition floor at Cosmoprof North America. Mpowers is vastly influenced by philanthropy. As such, she hosts highly-anticipated networking events in the DFW area, she’s mentored urban youth in Oakland Unified School District and Unity Outreach Baptist church and ​donated literary, performance and mentorship services to Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. for the betterment of young girls in San Joaquin County.

Since moving to Dallas in 2014, Melvina has published “Adrenaline Rush 742!,” served on the Executive Leadership team for the Dallas Black Professional Social Network, founded a private sisterhood association: Queens Converge & Converse, launched an event series focused on love: The Black Love Experience and continues to be consulted for numerous journalist projects.
